First of all, what do we mean by the “fastest” e-bike? Are we talking about a bike with the highest top speed, the greatest acceleration, or simply the most versatile and maneuverable at a consistent speed? In this article we have something for everyone.
The fastest electric bikes
Electric bikes are limited to 25 km/h or 45 km/h, at least in Europe. But there are many models on the market that can drive much faster. We have attached a few models that easily beat these speeds. Note, however, that these are mainly sold in the USA and would therefore not be approved in Europe (Germany). Nevertheless, it is interesting to see what is technically possible.

Hallo Power Cycles Revolution X
This is at the top of our list. The Revolution X is a true machine in terms of e-bike technology and can reach a top speed of over 100 km/h! Its acceleration is also massively impressive as it goes from 0 to 30 mph in 4.57 seconds. When it comes to sheer speed, the Hello Power Cycles Revolution X really can’t be beat.
Swind EB-01
The Swind is another great, powerful e-bike that can almost fly. A top speed of 60 km/h is possible. The electric motor has an output of 15 kW, which is the reason for the performance of this next-level bike. The battery charges quickly (just 90 minutes) and lasts up to 80 miles.
Stealth-Electric Bike
Next is the Stealth Electric Bike. This is a real beast and perhaps the most popular of the high speed electric bikes on the market. Electric hub motor technology allows for a top speed of around 50 mph and a range of 60 miles.
The fastest legal e-bikes
Electric bikes are only allowed to drive 25 km/h in Europe, but up to 20 mph (32 km/h) in the USA. These restrictions are set by local legislation in each region.
S-Pedelecs can drive up to 45 km/h, but a driver’s license is required for this. Take a look at the e-bike 45 km/h guide.
In the end, it doesn’t matter whether you choose a cheap e-bike or one from the upper price range. The acceleration is better with expensive e-bikes and the motor is also stronger, but this also switches off when the permitted speed is reached.
