But you shouldn’t generalize the topic so easily, it depends entirely on the game. Speed and accuracy are much more precise with a Mice and keyboard and thus better especially in first-person shooters.

Optical vs Laser Gaming Mice
Gaming mice have either an optical or a laser sensor. The difference between these two mice is the light source: optical mice use LED light and laser mice use a laser. Whether optical or laser mice are better is a hot topic in the gaming community. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
Laser gaming Mice
The average laser Mice is more sensitive than the average optical Mice and has a higher DPI (2x to 5x of an optical Mice). The DPI is important for gaming mice. Laser mice can capture smaller movements than optical mice, allowing for quick, precise movements. Also, laser mice have a higher polling rate, which basically means they tell your computer when they change position more often than optical mice. This makes these mice more responsive. Laser mice can work on any surface, while optical mice usually need to be paired with a Mice pad.

Optical mice typically cost a little less than laser mice, and many in the gaming community prefer them over laser mice. One reason is that many laser mice react too intensely and that’s not a good thing either.
Many top gamers are reporting acceleration issues with laser mice, which means that if you move a laser Mice too quickly, the laser Mice sensor will not detect the movements and the Mice pointer/crosshairs will become unsynchronized with your Mice. This can lead to unpredictable, inconsistent cursor behavior.

Is a wireless Mice suitable for gaming?
The wireless connection, while convenient, was used to add additional latency to the connection compared to a wired cable. That meant input lag in games was “a thing”. For reference, this is also considered a “very bad thing” in competitive online gaming. In short, no, a wireless Mice is not recommended for gaming.
Modern wireless interfaces, especially the 2.4 GHz radio links, have no perceptible difference in latency compared to a standard wired connection. Blind tests were conducted on professional gamers using both wired and wireless mice and if the most sensitive gamers can’t tell the difference, we’re confident you can’t either.
However, Bluetooth connections can still introduce an unwanted input lag in a gaming situation, so it’s best to avoid it. However, in modern wireless gaming mice, Bluetooth is only used as a low-power backup option.
